Where critical social science means cultural studies and literary criticism

....that's where I'll be. So I'm looking at Critical Discourse Analysis (discourse, power, emancipatory potential), Historical Discourse Analysis (assumptions and presumptions) perhaps supplemented by interviews - with authors of the key texts (UNESCO, Will Dutton).

This methodological approach brings together critical theory, postmodernism and semiotics. Thinking and reading about these paradigms, particularly critical theory, in the context of research frameworks has actually helped me greatly in understanding them.
